Musical Extravaganza An Australian Spectacular

Andre Rieu, Yes, you read it right - a man of extraordinary musical talent - a man with an orchestra that is second to none and growing in popularity each day. Andre Rieu and his now famous Johann Strauss Orchestra is sweeping all before it in musical excellence, appealing to the young and not so young.

His orchestra has the ability to appeal to the masses and is stacked with enviable talent from around the world. The three Platin Tenors are an absolute delight coming from as far afield as Austrlia, Germany and
Poland. This abundance of talent radiates through to his resident all girl singers bedecked in the most beautiful gowns imaginable. The players of the orchestra are a wonderful assembly of seasoned perfectionists that has no equal.

To quote dircetly from the brochure of "Live in Australia" which accompanies this DVD, "On a beautiful Melbourne evening, an audience of nearly 40,000 people witnessed the show of a lifetime." Andre Rieu and his entire singers and players of his Johann Strauss Orchestra together with the Imperial Ballet of Vienna, Stars on Ice, Tanzscule Elmayer, Australian Federal Police Pipes and Drums, and an incredible replica - yes, to scale of the famous Schonbrunn Palace - Andre, his musicians and his entourage entertained the audience with gems from the Austrian capital as well as an abundant host of popular melodies which had the audience singing in appreciation.

So far, the musicians of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, Andre Rieu, The Platten Tenors, The all Girl singers and Pipes and drums of The Police band have been mentioned,- The replica of The Schonbrunn Palace and Stars on Ice, but to hear the voices of angels, is the penultimate of listening pleasure of the likes of Mirusia Louwerse, with Carman Monarcha and Susan Erans - These three talented Sopranos brought teras to the eyes of this Australian audience - a performance that will I am sure, never be surpassed for its quality and stage craft and last but not least, the wit and bonhomie of a man with a Stradivarious Violin - Andre Reiu.
